Farewell Again

I've been hooked watching the Koreanovela Lovers in Harvard these past 2 days. I remember the first time I've seen it (about a year ago) that I bawled my eyes out and fell head over heels with the male character Hyun-woo. Time and distance don't seem to matter to star-crossed lovers. No matter what trials, they'll always find a way into each other's arms. How sweet!

Anyhoo, I met my ex about 3 weeks ago. What an odd circumstance. We never really go to discuss our break-up, you see, it just happened. So after rounds of drinks and 3 hours of Karaoke, the topic just came up. Of course, my rowdy friends were to blame. So for the first time after almost 2 years we've confronted each other about it. Apparently we don't have the same stand on our break up!

I thought we broke up because he couldn't put up with me being a spoiled brat and always getting my way. He said we broke up because I didn't pass the "test". He wanted to see if I can "accept" his fondness of online games and I supposedly did not. I couldn't care less! I didn't mind his gaming at all, what a shallow reason.

A week after we broke up, he said he "lost" his sim card and changed no. He didn't inform me. I took it as a sign and moved on. 1 month after, he met up with me and we started going out again. I thought he just wanted to preserve our friendship but then during our discussion he accused me of being cold and dense bec. he was apparently courting me again at the time. Hmm.. what a confused person.

For the duration of our 8-month relationship I never understood the guy. During our break-up talk, we've finally reached an understanding. Despite it all we are very good friends. I guess there are just Hyun-woos and Soo Ins who are meant to be together. Then there are Ians and I who are better off apart. A toast, a hug and endless jests from our drunk friends later we kissed our predicament goodbye. Goodbye, I realized, is sweeter the 2nd time around. =)
