I just came from the bank today and while waiting for the bank lady to process my account, I can't help but notice that despite the busy-ness of the place, it is extremely quiet. There is a certain quality of silence one usually finds in Churches or in Hospitals. The silence brought about by the presence of someone..something.. AWESOME. The presence of God and Death that drive us to respect the place they dwell in.
Funny how Money fits in the equation. God is the root of all things, Death puts an end to everything. Money? Money would be what comes in between. It's the force that drives us to work in the morning. The reason why the 5th and 20th are our favorite days of the month. Money, the bridge from the beginning to the end.
Like the BARK of a tree. It's the root that gives it life. The flowers bring out it's beauty. The leaves offer comfort and the fruit is it's fulfillment. But the bark bridges all these together.
And when lightning strikes, everything comes to an end.
The truth behind the power of money is that even though we know that we don't need Money to live, we can't help but live by it. No wonder I'm in such an awe at this place.
