Come What May

I'm certainly uncertain how I feel about YOU.

I may not giggle like others do
or be easily impressed by you
But I do have that secret smile
and a special insight on things you do.

I don't want to think about the future
coz I know you might not be in it.
But I do hope, everyday, in this present
that I see you often even for a bit.

I look at you from a distance and sigh
if only it were up to me to decide.
But I look deep in my heart and think
"Do you know what you're doing?? "
--"Wouldn't you rather hide?"

So I leave it all up to the heavens
to the wisdom and kindness of the One above.
All I know is your mere existence is something for me to smile about
May today bring me happiness, may tomorrow bring me love.
