How bad could it get??

"Leave work at CallTek and never bring personal problems to work."
If I want to keep my job and sanity then I should live by these words. But things are easier said than done though coz when you have the day I had today at work, you'll be too exhausted to even exert the effort to leave bad work experiences behind. I must have had the worst set of calls today. I think I talked for 6 hours straight -- I actually got to drink the coffee I made at 8 am when I logged out at 2 pm(it tasted like crap)!! Whew, there's nothing like the pressures of work.

Take note of the reminders to self:
1. Tardiness is unacceptable. Absence even more so.
2. You have to accomodate the guest - friendly or otherwise.
3. You have to log everything on the ticket but don't exceed Make Busy.
4. Make sure to get this info and test that... Ping AP, Ping GW, Ping Yahoo...
5. Memorize the Putty options and Static settings and follow the Best Practice
6. Know when to escalate, when to forward, when not...
7. Call guest by their first name and listen, always listen... while typing and thinking.
8. Be patient, don't talk too fast but have a sense of urgency, don't talk too slow.
9. Be friendly but at the same time be firm.
All of these must be noted everyday, for the 9 hours spent at work. For me the tenth and most important would be, WORK HARD but KEEP YOUR SANITY. I should keep in mind that there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and that every cloud has a silver lining. Oh please Lord have mercy... Tomorrow is another day.
